Seaford Student, MJ Butler, Talks Injuries and Future Plans After Being Hit by a Truck While Riding a Bike
Last October, MJ Butler was riding his bike home in Seaford, Del., and was struck from behind by a pickup and thrown into the corn field.
MJ joins us in the studio to tell us his story and his future plans, and joining him is Public Information Officer with the Seaford Volunteer Fire Dept., Ronnie Marvel.
Following MJ’s accident would be months in intensive care units with critical injuries from brain surgery to severely broken bones. MJ spent the holidays in the hospital after his accident and once he recovered he visited Seaford Volunteer Fire Dept. to tell them ‘thank you.’
MJ is now considering joining the fire department and helping people. He also talks about his goal to start his own trucking company called ‘Butler Enterprises.’
MJ gives words of encouragement for anyone going through tough times like he had to.
“Whatever it is you are going through, do not give up,” MJ says. “Push through it. Do not give up.”
