Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre Unveils 3 Shows for Summer

The familiar story of The Wizard of Oz takes the stage this season at the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre. The production rotates throughout the summer with Puss in Boots and The Emperor’s New Clothes. The three shows are performed through Aug. 25 at the Epworth Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
The Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre features unique, imaginative two actor productions developed by company founders Elise and Steve Seyfried. The performance is called a “duet” version of The Wizard of Oz because the girl plays Dorothy and the guy plays everyone else.
Resident actor Eric Dann brings all the familiar characters to life in a tour de force performance. Audiences meet the brainless scarecrow, the rusty tin man, the cowardly lion, witches wonderful and wicked and, of course, the wizard himself. In the midst of this whirlwind of activity, Marrisa Barnathan’s Dorothy learns that travel and adventure can be exciting, but there is truly no place like home.
