Rehoboth Beach Garden Tour and Luncheon Named Success
“We could not have been luckier or had a more beautiful Saturday!” Janet Point, member of Sussex Gardeners, said with enthusiasm.
The Sussex Gardeners lucked out on Saturday afternoon with clear, sunny skies for the third annual Rehoboth Beach Garden Tour and Luncheon. The annual event is a time for residents in the Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club neighborhood to show off their gardens.
The event kicked off Saturday morning at 10 a.m. offering beautiful sights of hardscaping, landscaping, entertainment systems and more.
“It was interesting to see the variety of plant life,” Point said. “Despite the recent rain, it was great to see the gardens in bloom!”
Point says the members were thrilled to see the amount of people present at the event and some merchants even sold out.
Point says guests were served homemade tomato basil soup and chicken salad. In addition to beautiful gardens, local merchants including SoDel Concepts and The Buttery Restaurant donated gift cards for the organization to raffle off and raise money for the club.
