Chocolate Strawberry Pie with Nancy Bolt of Greenhouse Cafe
1 3/4 cups finely crushed chocolate cookies
1/4 cup sugar
1 stick of butter, melted
1 Egg White
1 8 oz. pkg Cream Cheese, softened
1 16 oz. Cool Whip, thawed
1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
1 lb. Sliced Strawberries sprinkled with Sugar
1/2 cup Coconut Oil (liquified)
3/4 cup Real Maple Syrup at room temperature
A Dash of Salt
1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
1 cup Powdered Sugar
1/2 lb Strawberries with the tops sliced off.
Melted White Chocolate Candy Squares
Place chocolate cookies in a blender or food processor and grind to a fine consistency. Mix in the butter and sugar, and form mixture into a pie dish. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes. Remove from oven and brush the crust with egg white and bake at 350 for 5 minutes.
Whisk filling ingredients – except strawberries- until smooth. Stir in the strawberries carefully and spread evenly into the prepared crust.
Mix ingredients for Chocolate Topping and pour over filling.
Arrange Strawberries on top and drizzle with Melted White Chocolate.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours
