Positive Parenting Strategies: A Workshop for Parents of Children with Special Needs
As rewarding being a parent can be, those with children born with a chronic illness or disability face daily struggles that can be rather exhausting.
The physical and emotional toll it can take on not only parents, but children as well can make life difficult. We speak to Dr. Holly Hatton, special education supervisor for Wicomico County, as well as Lavon Adkins, event supervisor for “Partners of Success.”
They talk about the challenges those who have children with disabilities face on a day-to-day basis and how a workshop they will be holding can help parents learn techniques to help better care for their child with special needs.
The workshop will take place Wednesday, February 7th in the school system building located at 101 Long Ave in Salisbury. To RSVP to attend the workshop, call 410-677-4493.
