Peace Week Events to be Held in Rehoboth and Dover
Peace Week Delaware events are scheduled in Rehoboth Beach and Dover this week.
A peace march is being held at 4 p.m. in Rehoboth Beach on Wednesday. Participants will gather at Baltimore Avenue and proceed to Camp Rehoboth. There, a peace pole will be dedicated to acknowledge “the importance of peace-making in all major faiths.”

On Thursday, faith leaders will speak during an event called “Peace Messages of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam” in the Dover Public Library, located at 35 East Loockerman Street. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature Muqtedar Khan, founding director of the Islamic Studies Program at the University of Delaware, Rabbi Douglas E. Krantz, a retired rabbi of Congregation B’nai Yisrael in Armonk, New York, and a founding member of J Street, and Pastor Tom Pasmore, the lead pastor of Avenue United Methodist Church, Milford, Del.
