Motorcycle Ride Benefits St. Jude
Thanks to St. Jude – the childhood cancer survival rate has gone from 20 percent in the 60’s, to nearly 80 percent today!
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food because the staff at St. Jude believes all a family should worry about is helping their child live. But the money’s got to come from somewhere.
We learn about an upcoming event that you can take part in. Teresa Stuber and Wendy White, Co-Organizers for ‘Rolling for St. Jude,” tell us all about it.
Rolling for St. Jude motorcycle drivers, and their riders, roll 5 dice at each stop and they tally up the totals. Whoever has the highest score wins a monetary prize at the end. Riders also gather donations.
There are many activities to do at the end of the event as well. You can register online with a $20 donation fee, and any passenger is $5.
Rolling for St. Jude is Saturday, Oct. 1 and riders will start at Harley-Davidson of Seaford and there are four dice stops. For more information call (540) 569-6430 or go to the event website.
