Larry Barth’s One-man Show at the Ward Museum— Gallery

Larry Barth is a world renowned carver and sculptor, and has worked with the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury, Md. for the majority of his career. This photo shows Barth working on one of his more notable Eastern Shore pieces, “Companions.”
“This piece has an Eastern Shore tie in it— a piece that’s based on something I saw in Ocean City in 1976, the first time I was down there. Twenty-five years later I finally did the piece.”
Companions involves barnacles and rocks from the Ocean City Inlet and is accompanied by a 16-foot-long timeline with sketches and drawings and other aspects to authenticate it.
Barth will be showcasing his one-man show of 24 pieces at the Ward Museum from March 11- Aug. 21.
