Kylie is a 14-year-old eighth grade student at Stephen Decatur Middle School.
She is active in color guard and softball. Kylie was diagnosed with a brain tumor in the beginning of the year and now the Delmarva community is rallying to show its support for Kylie.
Brenda Kelly is a family friend and joins us on the couches to tell us more about Kylie.
Kylie was diagnosed with a brain tumor on January 24, 2017. Kylie had a large mass removed from her brain and brain stem and the mass was determined to be a form of cancer called Medulloblastoma.
Kylie is currently receiving physical, speech and occupational therapy. She will have to undergo 11 months of chemo/radiation treatments for the cancer.
The upcoming event, Karaoke for Kylie, is April 22 at Showell Fire Dept. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children and kids under 5-year-old are free. The benefit will help with medical and daily expenses for Kylie and her family.
