James M. Bennett HS Hosts ‘Trashion Show’ in Honor of Earth Day
They are calling it a ‘Trashion Show.’
Erin Davis, art instructor at JMB HS, says students in her Art 3 and Art 4 classes created both wearable sculptures and artistic assemblage sculptures out of recyclable items or items that would otherwise be considered ‘trash.’
According to Davis, materials included old worksheets, recyclable papers, cardboard, garbage bags, bubble wrap, newspaper and more. During the biannual ‘Trashion Show,’ students walked the ‘runway’ in front of the students, teachers, administration, and even Wicomico County superintendent Dr. Frederickson.
