Greg Bozman – Third of Ten 2017 WBOC Jefferson Awards Winners
When WBOC informed Greg that he was a a 2017 WBOC Jefferson Awards winner, both staffers and students alike had nothing but wonderful things to say about him.
“He is always inspiring and encouraging to all of us here to put our best foot forward all of the time,” said Principal Chantal Russum.
Evyan Potter, who is one of his students, said of Greg, “He pushes us harder to do our best when other people don’t believe in us.”
Vickie Evans, a friend of Greg’s, said, “He’s just got the biggest heart of everybody, anybody I’ve ever known. No matter what you ask him to do, he’s there. He goes from the field cutting or painting lines to chaperoning a dance. He’s never said no. He never complains and besides all that he’s just a great friend.”
Greg clearly enjoys everything he does. He said, “I love everybody in this building. I love my job. I love working with kids. I love the staff and I just want to see all you all people be successful.”
Another student of Greg’s, Mallory Dryden, said of him, “He’s not your typical coach. More times at practice he’ll talk about life a lot and he’ll give us like advice on how we should live. Just he tries to better us. He worries about our school more than he worries about our basketball sometimes.”

Greg is full of Crisfield pride and is willing to share the credit.
“You know how much I give, but they don’t realize how much they do for me,” Greg said. “Cause you know the fufillment you get from helping them basically saved me as a person and it changed me as a person also because you become more responsible. You know to be a role model.”
That’s why Greg Bozman is a 2017 WBOC Jefferson Awards winner.
