Gateway Subaru Walk for Health Benefiting Women Supporting Women
Breast cancer is such an important topic, and one we want to overcome. Studies show one in eight women will develop invasive breast cancer.
How do we curb the numbers? How do we end the disease? That’s a question so many people have been trying to answer for such a long time. There is one thing we can do. We can support the many organizations who are working hard to find a cure, while supporting the men and women who are battling breast cancer.
The first ever Gateway Subaru Walk for Health Benefiting Women Supporting Women is Sat., Sept. 24 at 5:30 pm at Gateway Subaru in Delmar, Md.
Astrid Bravo, the marketing coordinator for Gateway Subaru, talks to Sean about the walk being a way to give back to the community. Astrid also tells us that the partnership between Gateway Subaru and Women Supporting Women was a perfect fit because they are all about giving back to the community as well.
Women Supporting Women provides any kind of free service to men and women who have been affected by breast cancer including wigs, scarfs, and therapy.
All walkers get a free shirt with registration, which is $10. Children and pets walk for free. They will be having a candle vigil following the walk. All proceeds go to Women Supporting Women. Register here.
