Update: Delmarva’s Most Wanted – Harrington Fugitive Arrested
Harrington police announced Wednesday afternoon that on Tuesday departmental officers and Delaware State Police went to a home in the 700 Block of Messicks Road and took Antonio J. Vilone into custody without incident. Police had received information that Vilone was at the home. Vilone had active warrants on file with the Harrington Police Department resulting from a vehicle pursuit that occurred a day earlier when he fled from a Harrington officer on a stop. Vilone was also wanted by Delaware State Police relating to a stolen vehicle complaint and he was wanted out of several courts for outstanding capias and violation of probation. Vilone was transported to the Harrington Police Department where he was charged with disregarding a police officer signal, driving with a suspended or revoked license, driving on the wrong side of the road and several other traffic violations. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 for Harrington and State Police charges along with all the capias and violation of probation warrants. He was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $5,900 secured bond and $9,220 cash only bond.

Harrington police say they are searching for Antonio J. Vilone, 29, of the 200 block of East Street, who led officers on a chase in a stolen vehicle.
Police said on Tuesday that while on patrol officers responded to a home on the 200 Block of East Street to assist Delaware State Police with a stolen vehicle complaint. The reporting person stated that Vilone took the victim’s vehicle. A Harrington officer was searching the area and observed the vehicle pull back into the driveway of the home on East Street.
Police said when the officer attempted to contact Vilone, who was behind the wheel, he took off and led the officer on a pursuit for several miles. Officers then lost sight of the vehicle and were unable to locate Vilone.
The Harrington Police Department has warrants on file for Vilone charging him with disregarding a police officer signal, driving with a suspended or revoked license and several traffic violations. Vilone is also wanted by Delaware State Police and Kent County Superior Court. He has several active capias out of several other courts as well.
