Through the years, we have shared with you Wyatt Shipe’s story.
He was born in July 2015 and all signs indicated he would be a healthy baby but, as soon as he was born, doctors knew something was wrong. It was a congenital heart defect. After open heart surgery, and a brave fight, Wyatt’s battle ended just six weeks later.
Since then, a group of warriors, led by Wyatt’s mom, Jen, have come together to raise awareness of congenital heart disease. Jen talks about how you can help Wyatt’s Warriors with a 5K Run/Walk Saturday, May 4th at WinterPlace Park in Salisbury.
There will also be vendors, touch-a-truck, bounce houses and more — all for free.
