Every year, local judges pick a group of Jefferson Award winners for Delmarva. Our six winners for 2021 are amazing, but judges also select one of those outstanding individuals to represent our region at the national ceremony in Washington, D.C. every year. This year, our local judges selected Jacqueline Sterbach as the 2021 overall Jefferson Award winner.
Sterbach has been chosen as the 2021 overall regional winner of the Jefferson Awards. She launched the organization “What Is Your Voice” in Sussex County, Del., to help survivors of domestic violence. The 2021 Jefferson Award winner’s work never ends. Her hotline, 302-467-3310, runs 24/7.
