Country music star and Delaware native Chuck Wicks will be performing throughout the evening with a reception in the Wild Horse Saloon. Local favorite Bo Dickerson Band will also be performing. The Bo Dickerson performed on the DelmarvaLife stage once and they were a huge hit!
The Starry, Starry Night Gala is the annual black-tie optional gala for the Jack F. Owens Campus in Georgetown, Del. The themed event features a reception, dinner, performance, art exhibit, cultural activities, and specialty desserts and beverages. The gala is a fundraiser for Delaware Tech’s Educational Foundation and has helped to provide funds for textbooks, scholarships, tutoring services, student learning tools for the classroom, building expansion and the arts programming capacity of the campus theater.
Vanessa MeGee is the gala chair for the event and she says the campus is transformed into the city of music and you start at one end of campus and go to the other.
“There are activities and performances all along the way,” Vanessa says. “It’s black tie optional with a hint of country.”
Vanessa also says there are 625 guests so far which is the largest ever. There’s lots of food and local vendors as well.
