The purpose of the event is to raise awareness for women’s health and honor women who are breast cancer survivors. Executive Director of the Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce, Lynn Brocato, tells Sean all about the upcoming event.
Lynn says Live for Chocolate is a fun event for the whole community.
“The event is about using chocolate to remind women to get a mammogram,” Lynn says. “There’s also something for the men to enjoy – chocolate beer at the man cave.”
The event includes 15 clue stops serving lots of chocolate. The clue stops are from Downtown Seaford to the riverfront area in Blades, Del. Participants can get a map online or at one of the clue stops, and you get your puzzle stamped at each location. After your puzzle is stamped and completed, you take it to Gateway Park in Seaford.
Main clue stops are City Hall, Chamber of Commerce, and the Nanticoke Yacht Club. Transportation is avaible to get from one location to the next.
“It doesn’t matter what the weather forecast is,” Lynn says. “It’s going to be pink skies and raining chocolate!”
