Sixty years ago, Benedictine Sisters in Ridgely started a school for individuals with disabilities with four students, all of whom had Downs Syndrome.
Today the Benedictine School services more than 200 children and adults with developmental disabilities and autism achieve their greatest potential. For nearly 20 years, hundreds of motorcycles, street rods, classic, and custom cars make their way to Ridgely to support the school and its services with the Chrome City Ride. The Director of the Benedictine Foundation, Barry Smale, joins us to talk about this year’s ride and the signed Paul Reed Smith guitar that will be auctioned off to benefit Benedictine’s annual fundraising event.
