Day two of Bob’s Juice Journey started with reinstating my pre-vacation work out routine, along with four ounces of a smoothie from the night before.
I wasn’t even thinking about how I felt as I went through my usual get-to-work routine and drive. About ten minutes into my morning meeting, it hit me…. I feel great! I mean, really great. And I know for sure I wasn’t just kidding myself.
My energy level was quite a surprise and quite foreign to me these days. As the day unfolded, I did not suffer… not one bit. I didn’t even finish off the smoothie I brought to compliment the day’s juice.
I supplemented my concoctions with some black chia seed and water to stave off hunger.
My recipes for today’s juice and smoothie are as follows:
– Three Granny Smith apples
– Four leaves of green kale
– Four leaves of dark green kale
– One whole lemon
– One cucumber
– One handful of parsley
– 10 small florets of broccoli
– Three large pineapple rings
This was juiced, and produced the healthy looking green concoction pictured. How did it taste? Put it this way; I wouldn’t pay for it, but for this application, not bad at all.
– Handful of black raspberries
– Handful of red raspberries
– Handful of blueberries
– Coconut milk
This blended, produced the purple concoction pictured. Let me tell you, surprisingly not as good as the juice. The purple “reign” is over, never to be seen again. As a matter of fact, I didn’t finish it all until the next morning.
So there you have it! I dreaded day two even more than day one. Compared to what I anticipated, it was a fantastic day. Let’s hope this trend continues.
