Berlin, Md. Kicks off Spring Season with the Arts
The smell of spring isn’t the only thing that will be flooding the streets of Berlin, Md. in the upcoming spring and summer months.
During the winter months, the Downtown Berlin’s 2nd Friday Art Stroll is often held inside through the help of the Worcester County Arts Council and The Globe Restaurant, however, the art stroll is taking it back outside on Friday April 8 from 5-8 p.m., showcasing local art and talent in the town.
According to Ivy Wells, Berlin’s economic & community development director, every 2nd Friday of each month, Berlin’s shops, artists, and restaurants participate in a downtown evening of unique art and entertainment.
“We have so many new artists who have moved into the area and would like to participate in our 2nd Friday Art Stroll,” Wells said.
Not only will there be artists, vendors and musicians in the streets, Berlin will also be holding its Signs of Spring Art Show which will showcase artwork from the Alice and Wonderland Contest held a few months back. All the artwork submitted to the Alice and Wonderland contest will be on display at the Berlin Vistitors Center for the month of April.
During this event, guests can check out Berlin’s newest fine art gallery, Art in the Fields, and learn about the town’s new and improved website. To learn more about Berlin’s 2nd Friday Art Stroll, go to Artsinberlin.org.
