Author Jacqueline Simmons Hedberg Talks About Her Book, “Plantations, Slavery and Freedom on the Eastern Shore”
Next month, we celebrate Black History Month.
But the history of African Americans here on the Eastern Shore is a rich one that should be celebrated year-round. That’s the subject of the book – “Plantations, Slavery and Freedom on the Eastern Shore” that Author Jacqueline Simmons Hedberg recently wrote.
She stops by Historic Studio D to give us an overview of the book and how much research went into telling the story.
