Assateague Island Wild Horse Identification App to Launch Spring 2017
If you’ve been to Assateague Island, chances are you’ve seen wild ponies roaming around. There’s an app that can help you get to know these beautiful ponies a little better, without getting up close and personal.
Ashlie Kozlowski, outreach coordinator of the Assateague Island Alliance, tells us about an app that is dedicated to the Assateague Island ponies.
The Wild Horse Identification app is a free app that will give visitors the opportunity to correctly identify individual horses among the Maryland herd by taking a photograph on their smartphone.
The app caters to the younger generation by providing information at their fingertips. This app will utilize visual recognition software and a short series of questions when necessary to provide specific information about the horses the public are encountering during their visit.
Ashlie says they hope to launch the app by Spring 2017.
