If running is your “go-to” there’s an event coming up where you can run, support a local cause, and honor a man who left quite the legacy on Delmarva.
Principal at the Sussex Consortium, Dr. Vivian Bush stops by the studio to tell us more about the 2nd Annual Tommy 10k and Daffodil Dash 5K.
Tommy Coveleski was a physical education teacher at Sussex Consortium and was a Rehoboth Lifeguard for 30 years. He passed away last year from stomach cancer. They do the race in honor of him because he was an avid runner and huge sports fan.
This is the second year for this event. The Tommy Ten and Daffodil Dash is April 29 at Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal and the races begin at 9 am. Proceeds from the event goes to the Sussex Consortium which is a program that offers services to a number of different students with special needs.
