Social gatherings, fundraisers, quality cooked meals — oyster roasts can be any of the above. That might just be the reason why they are so popular on Delmarva.
If you’re from Georgetown, Del., chances are you know a thing or two about oyster roasts, especially since their festival has been around for 80 years. Other towns on Delmarva can be considered late adopters but rest assured, they are serving good eats.
