11th Annual Ride to the Tide, April 30
Hundreds of motorcycles will be riding Delaware’s highway for a good cause on April 30.
Director of the Delaware Law Enforcement Torch Run, Greg Nolt, joins us in the studio to talk about the 11th Annual Ride to the Tide. Bikers will depart Rommel Harley-Davidson in Smyrna at 11:30 am and the event ends with a free lunch at Jake’s Seafood Restaurant in Rehoboth Beach.
The motorcycles will be police-escorted from start to finish by law enforcement. If you are traveling on the same highway the motorcycles are traveling on that day, Greg suggests taking an alternative route.
Ride to the Tide benefits Special Olympics Delaware. Last year, there were 1,000 bikers and 422 passengers. $54,500 was raised for Special Olympics Delaware at the 2016 Ride to the Tide event.
WBOC is a proud sponsor of Ride to the Tide.
